Effective 9 October 2026
Use Waypoint with care.
These terms apply to the Waypoint iPhone app and its connected services. By creating an account, you agree to them and confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
What Waypoint provides
Waypoint provides focus tools, Screen Time controls, reflection features, goals and rewards, trusted-contact invitations, and temporary WaySignal location sharing. Features may change as the service develops.
Your account and device
You are responsible for your Apple account, iPhone, trusted-contact details, and activity under your Waypoint account. Provide accurate information, obtain permission before entering another person's contact details, and keep your device secure.
Screen Time and focus
Waypoint depends on Apple permissions and device behavior that we do not control. Do not rely on app shielding where uninterrupted access to an app or device is important for health, safety, work, travel, or an emergency.
Waypoint Free and Waypoint Plus
Core tap-to-focus, ending focus, restriction recovery, and support resources are available without a subscription. Waypoint Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full Waypoint Trail, Screen Time Diary insights, Screen Time checkpoints, and Signal with trusted contacts. The App Store purchase sheet shows the exact local price, billing period, and any introductory offer before you confirm.
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your Apple Account and manages billing. You can manage or cancel in your Apple subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewal and Plus remains available until the end of the paid period. Introductory trials are available only to eligible new subscribers as determined by Apple; unless cancelled before the trial ends, the chosen paid subscription begins automatically. Use Restore Purchases in Waypoint to restore an active subscription. Refund requests are handled under Apple's policies and applicable consumer law.
WaySignal is not an emergency service
WaySignal is a voluntary support and temporary location-sharing feature. Delivery, location accuracy, network access, and a contact's availability are not guaranteed. It does not contact emergency services or continuously monitor your safety. In an emergency, call the appropriate emergency service.
Acceptable use
Do not use Waypoint to harass, stalk, deceive, threaten, unlawfully monitor, or endanger anyone; interfere with the service; attempt unauthorised access; or use the service unlawfully. We may restrict or close accounts used in this way.
Availability and responsibility
We work to provide a reliable service, but Waypoint is supplied on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your mandatory consumer rights.
Ending use
You may stop using Waypoint and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or serious misuse.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes. Irish law applies, without removing any mandatory protections you have under the law where you live.
